Shireen

Shireen is a Delhi-based DJ, playing an eclectic selection of dance music styles, flowing seamlessly from the many offshoots and mutations of house and techno to the more frenetic sounds of breaks, UKG, dubstep and jungle. Her sets cycle from the light and ethereal to heavy percussive doses and cavernous bass, all permeated by a wistful undercurrent and the pursuit of the transcendent connection only music and the dancefloor can provide.

Having cut her teeth working as a member of New Delhi’s Coven Code as well as with local clubs and promoters, she has steadily refined her skills into a versatile and precise approach. She holds a residency with Wild City, having supported international heavyweights such as Cashu, rRoxymore, Valesuchi, SPFDJ, Bruce, Oneman and Roman Flugel, as well as local stalwarts like FILM, Spacejams, Kini Rao, Pooja B, Bhish and Chhabb, and Prismer. More recently, she has begun presenting the show Dandelion Hour on boxout.fm, while simultaneously releasing several mixes and resuming live DJing.
