Squidworks

Squidworks is the alias of Varoon Nair, a versatile musician and artist from the coastal haven of Goa, India. Nair’s musical journey began with (the now-defunct) psych-rock band The Mavyns in the late 2000s. His curiosity for electronic music led him to cultivate and develop his sound both sonically and conceptually by the post-dubstep era, citing Four Tet, Burial, Mount Kimbie and Joy Orbison as major influences.

His DJ sets carry a rhythmic and soulful energy blending UK Funky, garage, house and elements of breaks and techno. Nair is recognised for his deep curiosity, meticulous selection, and ability to create unexpected yet cohesive journeys on the dancefloor.
