?te, also known as Whyte, is an independent artist based in Taiwan who transitioned from medical school to music and chose to keep her identity concealed. Her stage name, "?te," reflects her time in a white coat during her medical internship.

Her musical journey began at 20 when she started taking guitar lessons and met a mentor who introduced her to jazz. Deeply influenced by jazz and soul singers such as Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, and Adele, ?te began releasing music in 2019.

Since then, she has made a significant impact on the Taiwanese music scene with her husky, sultry, and laid-back vocals. Her style blends neo-soul with jazz and lo-fi hip-hop, creating a unique sound that resonates widely.
