Yakh Basta

Yakh Basta is a 3-hour live performance that blends ambient electronic music with live trumpet, bass, vocals, and cinematic guitars of Misha Ostrovsky aka Omasoul, Peter Tegner, Nuqta and Ilya Mednikov. It's designed for the morning hours – contemplative, immersive, and unhurried.

The music builds slowly through all-analog synths, processed brass and bass, vocals delivering original Urdu-Sanskrit poetry, and cinematic guitar voices. The poetry explores questions of existence, divine recognition, and what it means to be suspended between worlds through traditional forms inspired by Sufi traditions. There is life behind the ice walls – breathing, conscious, transmitting meaning from the frozen deep.
